SUMMARY:Emergency Livelihood Recovery - Korail Fire Response
DESCRIPTION:Following the devastating fire in Korail\, thousands of families lost not only their homes but also their primary sources of income. Many women who depended on home-based tailoring lost their sewing machines\, leaving them without a means to support their families. \nIn response to this humanitarian crisis\, Youth Prochesta Foundation of Bangladesh\, with the generous support of Azimur Rokia Rahman Trust\, launched the Emergency Livelihood Recovery Initiative. Through this programme\, 10 fire-affected families received sewing machines to help them restore their livelihoods and regain financial independence. \nRather than providing only emergency relief\, this initiative focused on sustainable recovery. By replacing essential income-generating equipment\, the programme empowered families to restart their small businesses\, rebuild their confidence\, and reduce long-term dependency on humanitarian assistance. \nAt Youth Prochesta Foundation of Bangladesh\, we believe that disaster recovery is not complete until people are able to stand on their own again. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to supporting vulnerable communities beyond immediate relief by creating opportunities for dignity\, resilience\, and self-reliance. \n

DESCRIPTION:Rapid Humanitarian Assistance When Every Moment Matters \nEvery year\, Youth Prochesta Foundation of Bangladesh conducts Emergency Disaster Response programmes to support communities affected by floods\, cyclones\, fires\, landslides\, cold waves\, and other humanitarian emergencies across Bangladesh. \nOur trained volunteers mobilize quickly to deliver life-saving assistance\, including emergency food packages\, cooked meals\, safe drinking water\, medical supplies\, hygiene kits\, clothing\, shelter materials\, and other essential relief items. Working closely with local communities\, volunteers\, and partners\, we strive to reach the most vulnerable families during the critical first hours and days after a disaster. \nBeyond emergency relief\, we also support early recovery efforts by helping affected communities regain stability and rebuild their lives with dignity.
